Born from a line of skilled musicians, Zattana has always felt the undeniable allure of music. To her, dance is a natural extension of that art. Thanks to her musical background, Zattana took to belly dance with ease when she began studying in 2001 and she hasn’t slowed down since! In 2009, she co-founded the award-winning belly dance troupe, Roja, and began teaching, choreographing, and coordinating shows. She regularly performs at events all over the Miami Valley area with Troupe Roja and also dances solo at private parties.
A self-proclaimed “prop-aholic”, she enjoys dancing with (a real!) sword, veil, fans, Isis wings, cane, shamadan, and finger cymbals. Zattana also studies Middle Eastern percussion and continues to deepen her knowledge of dance by attending workshops with nationally and internationally reknown master instructors.
When she is not performing, she is busy slinging henna at festivals, parties, and events all over the region.

"I really wish there was a 10 star and I wish I could check the boxes of all but I can only pick 2. She is absolutely the best henna artist I know! I have never been dissapointed with any of her work on me. I always tell her to make something up and she goes all out. The imagination this woman has is just great! And if you want a certain picture, it looks so much better when it gets on your skin. I see her at many functions I go to and her booth is always busy. Seriously, every time I saw her booth, there were people there getting henna art done. And it is because she has a fabulous skill."

"When she says that she is a prop-aholic, she is not kidding. She LOVES props. Not only does she dance with her mentioned variety, but she gracefully dances with expertise with them! Aside from that, her costumes make me drool every time. My favorite part is that when she dances, you can tell she does this because she loves it. Not only is she captivatingly beautiful, but she also has moves to kill! She is an absolute must have at any party function!"

"Zattana is one of the most beautiful dancers I have ever seen. She is one of the few that holds the reason for the start of my belly dance life. I have been a happy student and excited viewer. She teaches clearly, has background knowledge of each type of dance and really knows what she is doing. She is a very friendly and wonderful person. I always advise people to take her classes because you won't regret it :D"

"Zattana is a phenomenal dance instructor and choreographer! she gives you quick feedback and critiques to let you know how you are doing, what you are doing well, and areas you need improvement.
If there is an area or part of the choreography that you're struggling with, she is more than happy to jump right in next to you and break it down until you're comfortable with it.
There is never a dull moment in her class! she brings her own personality and flavor to every session; its not all about learning choreography, its about learning to feel the music and expressing the choreography in a way that it just flows through your body fluidly and naturally as water...and not that you've rehearsed it for several weeks :) She'll make you sweat, laugh, inspire you, and make you feel more confident about dancing.
