Hello my name is Takiyah Barlow im a certified YMCA Group Fitness Instructor and A Certified Drums Alive Instructor.
I have over 2 years of experience in the fitness and health field. Most of my experience has been working with older and specialized population.
I have been teaching many forms of dance for 16 years. I developed a love for dance at an early age.
I have taken Modern Dance, Ballet, Hip Hop, Liturgical, Creative Moves, and Afro-Centric Dances.
These are some of the movements I have incorporated in my classes.
Any fitness class is a way that you will engage in personal empowerment by encouraging the revelation of your own truth about being physically fit!
By using rhythm as the source of inspiration to discover a new group fitness Drums Alive® is a program that fosters a healthy balance physically, mentally, emotionally and socially and it provides an element of fun and creative expression.

"I started taking Zumba because it was convenient. I'm friends with "Tee" and was asked to help with registration for her class. From the first time I stepped out on the floor with her I was hooked! Not a dancer by nature, I never dreamed I would love the class the way I do. It's been just a few months now and I'm down about 20 lbs. and feeling great.
