Walter Green

Started fencing in 1965 and competed through the 1970s in the United States and England. Past Division and Section chairman of the national governing body for the sport, former national and sectional level referee, and a classified sabre fencer in my competitive career. Started coaching fencers in the 1970s, and qualified as a Monietur in all 3 weapons in 2004, Prevot d'Armes in 2005, and Maitre d'Armes in 2005. Studied under Giorgio Santelli. Neil Lazar, Ron Cullum, Raoul Sudre, and Vinnie Bradford. Currently train and teach modern competitive and recreational fencers, classical fencers, and students of historical sword technique, and train fencing coaches. Past executive committee member and current Club Committee Chairman of the United States Fencing Coaches Association.

Started martial arts training in 1965. Have studied a variety of arts, specializing in weapons use, and currently hold instructor level qualifications in Chanbara, Tsue Kakuto cane, karambit, pocket stick, Diagram Jian, Modern Practical Kali, and Snake Fist Karate.
