Veronique Gaultier

After graduating from Columbia University I started to learn the doumbek with a wonderful teacher named Raquy Danziger.
Eventually, I followed Raquy and her band to Egypt and Turkey to meet master doumbek players.
I had the honor to perform on stage with Said El Artist in Cairo and Okay Temiz in Istanbul.
I am now a New York based professional doumbek player and I play and teach there.
My students range from children to adults at all levels.
Playing an instrument in general and the doumbek in particular is a lot of fun. My students regularly report to me how the doumbek has changed their lives, how they have improved their self-confidence and how they can relax in public or stressful situations.
