  "I have had the opportunity to take a few different classes here at the American Academy of Billiards. I have taken the Pool Players weekend class. This class is an intensive boot camp style workshop that includes 2 full days of billiard training hammering on the fundamentals of pool. I think you really have to have a special desire for the game to be able to dedicate 2 full days on this subject. If it was possible it would be optimal to have a 3 day workshop and have shorter days. A few people I have spoken to in the class are extremely wiped out after the first day. They have a hard time concentrating.
  The materials used in the class follow the workshop outline pretty much to the letter. So all material demonstrated is clearly documented in the book. Both instructors Walt Zincavage and Roy Pastor are extremely knowledgable and know how to portray the material in a clear concise manner that is very easy to understand. Both instructors take the time to answer any question that a student may have about the game. They both make the class instructional, fun and entertaining.
  To me the best part of the class is the ability to retake the class as many times as you deem necessary to solidify all the material given with no charge. This is extremely important not only as a follow up tool to see how your game has improved. It also gives a student the ability to grasp any concepts they may have missed during the first time they took the class.
  This workshop seems to fit any level of player that feels they need to fine tune their fundamentals weather your a beginner or an advanced player that does not feel their foundation is as solid as they would like. You also get to meet some new friends who share a love for the game and can develope a good fun relationship with them. Overall it is an extremely outstanding experience and I recommend it to anyone regardless of age or skill level. Roy specializes in dealing with kids in learning the game and has a long proven track record to show it.
  
  Equally as informative is the 1 day class on kicking and banking. All material covered is clearly written in your class materials. Both instructors provide the great quality service as in the pool players weekend class.
