Rich Beischer

Rich is one of the founders and head coaches of Hub City Fencing Academy in Highland Park, NJ. He began fencing 15 years ago and immediately began questioning coaches and referees to understand the underpinnings, logic, and nuances of sabre fencing. Rich fenced for Somerville High School under the instruction of Harry James, and was coached by Ralph Bellantoni. After coaching and assisting at various YMCAs and Recreation programs, he took a break to work in the supply side of fencing. Not long after, he returned to coaching at The Lawrenceville School. It was there, along with his fellow Hub City coaches, that he turned promising students who had no time for private coaches or outside lessons in to Prep State Champions.
