"Jack Salveson took my money ($45) and never mailed me the items he said he would. Here are the details: On January 26, 2011, I found an ad Jack placed on Craigslist selling a video game package for $45. Jack was selling the items apparently through his business, named Rock and a Hoard Place, in Billings, MT. I emailed Jack and we sent each other 20 emails regarding this ad. In all of his messages, Jack was very friendly, very prompt in replying, very professional, and gave every impression of being very reliable and trustworthy. On Jan. 29 he emailed me saying I could send him the $45 for the items and on Feb. 1 he said he received the money in the mail and would mail the items the next day. However, I did not receive the items. When I had not received anything by Feb 10, I emailed him and received no reply. I again inquired on Feb. 18th, 19th and 28th by email, but received no reply. I did not feel this was appropriate behavior for a professional business and so on March 24, I filed a claim against his business with the Better Business Bureau. I also then notified Jack that I had filed a complaint, but said I would be happy to drop the complaint if he would issue me a refund. The BBB forwarded my complaint to Jack's business and to his personal email address, but has yet to receive a reply. Also, on March 29th, I emailed Jack's wife through Facebook describing what had happened and asked for her help. I received no reply. I then emailed one of Jack's Facebook friends and told the friend of my dilemma and asked for his help. He wrote to Jack and Jack replied to him, saying that his business Rock and a Hoard Place had "gone under" in November and this was the first he had heard of my situation, but that he would try to get to the bottom of my issue. Perhaps his business had indeed gone under in November, but nonetheless, on January 26th, he was still selling on Craigslist using his business email address. Jack's friend then told me what Jack had said, so I emailed Jack directly through Facebook, informing him of all the details of our transactions and asking for a refund, but I again received no reply. I feel America has gone through some very difficult financial times where everyone has had to deal with the stress of the global recession. Many business went bankrupt and many people lost their jobs and homes. This kind of financial strain can cause people to do things they would not ordinarily do, so perhaps Jack is one of these people who has been forced into a bad position. Nonetheless, I feel compelled to forewarn you that if you intend to do business with Jack, he very likely will give every impression of being professional, friendly, courteous, responsible and trustworthy -- that was how I felt about him in the beginning. However, by the end, Jack had proven that he could not be trusted and was not even willing to reply to any email I sent him. I wish I could give a better review for Jack's services, but unfortunately, this is all I can say. "
