I am a mom and I got into Pilates knowing that it felt good for my body. It has been a true passion of mine since I discovered how beneficial it is for your posture. Pilates completely changed my attitude towards my body, body image and fitness goals when I started doing it over a decade ago.
I have seen individuals improve and change immensely in so many ways after starting Pilates. I look forward to sharing my motivation and love of Pilates with you!

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Why should I start Pilates?
There are so many reasons to start Pilates. First, for core strength to help with everyday and athletic activities; second, to tone muscle; third, to improve posture and ease neck, back, shoulder pain.
-
How often should I do Pilates?
Minimum of twice a week with a regular fitness program in place. If Pilates is your only fitness, then 3-4 times a week is ideal.
-
Why should I train with you online instead of using a DVD?
I have many years of hands-on teaching experience both with groups and private clients in Pilates studios. DVDs are great in a pinch and for a smaller budget, but nothing can replace a trained eye and individual cues to get the most out of your workout. Plus, my workouts vary each time. It will never be the exact same sequence or exercises each session. I am also able to modify the workout based on your individual goals and issues. Have a bad shoulder? Most DVDs won't address that. I have worked with all kinds of post-rehab clients as well as pregnant and post partum clients and can tailor the workout for you. A tailored workout means your time is not wasted and you feel better afterward!
-
What should I wear?
Clothing that moves with you. Jeans are not going to work. Preferably close-fitting clothes like yoga pants and stretchy top are the best way for me to see if you are doing the exercises correctly and efficiently.
-
What equipment do I need?
A mat is the most basic piece of equipment needed. If you have a stability ball, great! We can incorporate that. I can recommend equipment that will enhance your workout, but not required.
-
I'm not flexible, does that matter?
No! Pilates will help increase your flexibility, so come as you are. I am able to modify the workout to suit you, however flexible or inflexible your joints are right now. Over time, this will improve with regular Pilates practice.
