Phoebe Kelly is a 500-RYT and certified Pilates teacher. She comes from a strong movement background. Dancing from the age of 4, Phoebe received her BFA in modern dance from University of the Arts in Philadelphia. There she studied technique, anatomy, kinesiology, and pedagogy. Her studies in movement and alignment brought Phoebe to Pilates and she went on to earn her certification in 2002 from the Kane School of Core Integration. A few years later, Phoebe discovered yoga and all its holistic benefits. She studied with many of the excellent senior teachers at YogaWorks, including her mentor Jeanmarie Paolillo since 2006. She earned her 500 hour TT Yoga Certification and Restorative Yoga Training from YogaWorks in 2010.
Phoebe has been teaching yoga and Pilates in NYC since 2002. She moved to the Hudson Valley in June 2010.
Phoebe’s classes/sessions focus on the importance of alignment and core strength. She encourages students to take their practice to the next level in a playful and supportive atmosphere. Phoebe’s goal for her students is to gain a more profound understanding of their own body, which takes patience, courage, and compassion. In the end, there is the opportunity to open yourself to greater possibilities and to deepen the connection to your core being.

"Phoebe is an excellent Pilates and Yogalates instructor. Her attention to detail has moved my practice in a whole new direction. Her knowledge of anatomy and ability to explain proper body alignment has helped me focus on proper technique and understand where and how the movement should be performed. I no longer just go through the "series" without paying much attention. Phoebe helps her students by giving clear, concise cues and by helping them understand what parts of the body are involved in the movement.
Phoebe is friendly, gentle and very comfortable in the class environment.
Her classes are the best! "
