Marie Theodhosi, as a Licensed Physical Therapist with over 25 years experience, knew instinctively that Pilates was much more than the latest exercise craze. This method of exercise is an extension of physical therapy. It effectively improves posture and tones the entire body with emphasis on strengthening the core muscles. The increased flexibility and stamina will improve functional performance in all activities of daily living.

"Marie has helped me as a professional physical therapist with specific focus on core strength as I attempted to discover where the strengths and weaknesses were in treating my muscular/skeletal issues. With Marie's expertise, I was able resume my pilates classes and I was able to attend her classes throughout the summer. With my efforts to maintain a strong core, I can hear Marie's voice in my ear now with a constant reminder of where to focus. Coming from a health club and doing pilates, yoga and tai chi for 5 years, I began noticing (what they call the sticky spots), my chiropractor suggested that I see someone for one on one evaluation to see where I was being hung up. Marie did this for me and I am forever grateful. As we age, we don't realize how essential our core strength is and taking every opportunity to move and stretch. As you dress your body daily, don't forget to address your core. Please take my advise, hold it all together and try one of Marie's classes, you won't regret the time you're giving to your health. Thanks Marie!"

"Marie is a gem - both as a teacher and as a person very easy to get along with. Yes, she teaches Pilates, but she also mixes in "easier" solutions based on Pilates, yoga and physical therapy. This is wonderful for an aging woman (me) who basically dislikes exercise of any kind. I recommend her most highly for anyone: beginner to advanced student. I recently had a full shoulder replacement and when I was ready to start Pilates again she made sure that I did simplified exercises that were right for me. She looked out for me and made sure I didn't overdo.
And her music isn't the loud, "thumpy" kind, either!
Marie is the ONLY Pilates teacher I would ever consider working with." -

"Marie is a natural teacher. I took her class when she first started teaching, and was very impressed. It was comforting to know she pays attentions to the health issues of her students and constantly reminds students of safe modifications for all the exercises. I have had neck injuries, and it helped tremendously to feel confident I could benefit from pilates without worrying about hurting myself. "
