Rev. Morris Sekiyo Sullivan is a Zen master in the Lam Te Chuc Thanh Dharma Lineage and Sensei with Bright Dawn Center for Oneness Buddhism.
Sensei Morris first became interested in Zen Buddhism while a teenager. He spent a short time ordained as a monk in a Thai Buddhist order before enrolling in Bright Dawn’s ministry program. He is the primary dharma teacher for Volusia Buddhist Fellowship, leading weekly meetings in DeLand and monthly meetings in New Smyrna Beach, Palm Coast and Daytona Beach. He also meets weekly with a group of 30-plus Buddhist inmates at Tomoka Correctional Institution and speaks regularly at the UU Congregation in Palatka and elsewhere. Rev. Sullivan has published two dharma books, "Wisdom; Compassion; Serenity: First Steps on the Buddhist Path" and "Loving Heart, Peaceful Mind," a workbook to accompany retreats and workshops combining REBT and meditation. He recently completed work on The Buddha’s Path, a soon-to-be-published collaboration with photographer Gary Monroe about the Buddhist pilgrimage sites in northern India and Nepal.
