Monica St. Angelo met yoga in 2004 and fell in love. A former dancer trained at the Kansas City Ballet and Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, she was first attracted to the physical practice of yoga that felt so healing and revitalizing to her body. She soon realized the less tangible benefits were even more transformative. In her classes, she wants to meet her students where they are and help them realize those benefits: compassion, stillness, groundedness, and balance. But she also wants them to feel physically empowered and revitalized after a practice….all while having a little fun! She has taught yoga since 2005 and completed a 200-hour Hatha Vinyasa training with James Miller. She continues her yoga education through study with teachers such as Gabriel Azoulay and Sadie Nardini and is a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher.

"My grown children have been trying to get me to do Yoga for years and , of course, I ignored them. My daughter sent me a notice about Monica's class for chair yoga (that's correct-you do NOT have to get on the floor) and I signed up. I have hot felt this good in years and the Yoga is wonderful. Try it. If this 71 year old can benefit from it, anyone will be delighted.
Thanks Monica for opening my eyes to another world."
