I am a California transplant in New York, with a degree in English (creative writing) from San Francisco State University. I worked as Editor and Chief of the student literature magazine on campus while honing my short fiction style.
My influences range from Edgar Allen Poe, to Annie Proulx and George Saunders.

"In the ridiculously terse and disfunctional world of manuscript review and editing, I found Molly's opinions and suggestions to be, not only constructive but enlightening! "Molly Barraza is incredibly helpful, not only is she easy to understand, her conversation is stimulating, and captivating. Molly took a unique approach to helping me rather than the usual mechanical, robotic deal this generation has become so reliant uponl. I knew I was working with a human rather than some monotonous jerk off the street confined to cue cards. I'd say keep her around!! "
