My own personal journey in yoga began a year after my son was born. I knew that I needed to do something for myself, something that would help me calm my mind, something that would help me feel good about myself. I have found that, and more, with yoga. More thoughts and views about the studio and yoga in my interview with Yoga Lagniappe.
I teach vinyasa yoga which is a flowing sequence of movements connected to the breath. The body is challenged in the areas of strength, balance and flexibility; the mind is challenged by focusing on the task at hand, the breath. Yoga is a continual learning process – and I can honestly say that I have barely scratched the surface. But, as a teacher, I commit to teaching my students what I know and guiding them in their process of personal growth in yoga.
