Please use "contact me" to book my services. Thanks! I am a trained metal smith and bead stylist. My skills range from full-on metal-smithing to french and victorian beaded flowers. Artisan instruction is my full-time job. Currently I teach workshops locally and am always interested in more students. I love to share my skills and knowledge and believe that each student brings ME something new to learn as well. Booking availability is very flexible! Also, I am no longer in Baltimore. I changed my location on Betterfly but it won't seem to update. I'm now in Mercersburg, PA, close to Hagerstown, Greencastle, Waynesboro, Chambersburg, and for a large enough class, Harrisburg and Camp Hill.

"I recently attended Maureen's workshop on non-loom beading. It was a 6 hour workshop and the price was right. I couldn't believe that all supplies were included, too!!!!! I only had to bring myself! She allowed plenty of time to learn the stitches correctly, provided one-on-one attention, patiently showed me how to tear down my piece when the design wasn't coming out right, and could answer all the questions I had. Once I got the hang of it, I was addicted. I went home with all the handouts that had websites listed where I can buy beads cheaper than I usually buy them, several patterns and some pieces of Peyote stitch graph paper so i can make my own patterns. I'd recommend this class to anyone who wants to learn how to make cool beaded stuff. "

"Maureen is a great instructor. I never knew so much went into making a piece of jewelry! I came into this class thinking I knew something and I left actually KNOWING something. She starts with the very basics and you wonder what you've gotten into and then the next class you understand why you were writing your name in wire. There were five people in my class and she found time for all of us. Maureen is totally hands off unless you ask her to help with something but she keeps an eye on everyone and she can tell just from the sound of your saw if you're not sawing right! I thought I only wanted to learn how to solder jump rings together but once it all started now I know how to design and make really unique things. "
