Kevin Gift Jr.

Kevin Gift Jr. was born and raised in suburban Philadelphia and currently resides in Ambler, PA. At the age of 13, Kevin was given his first guitar. He joined his first band when he was 18. In the Fall of 2006, Kevin enrolled in West Chester University where he began to pursue a music degree. He graduated in May 2010 with a B.S. in Music and a minor in Business Management. As it became apparent that music in general, and guitar specifically, was to be his career, Kevin began to study with noted jazz guitarist and educator, Chuck Anderson. His studies have included guitar, ear training, theory and the music industry. Over the past three years, Kevin has been featured at Hersheypark with the IAAPA Award-Winning Funk/Soul band The Soda Pops through WJS Productions. Other groups he has performed with at Hersheypark include The Boardwalkers, The Screaming Mummies and Bunsen & The Burners. He has also performed with Philadelphia-based R&B singer Santalina, the cover bands Where’s Pete and Soulful Diversion, several musical productions, and with jazz groups in the tri-state area. On the education front, Kevin has taught guitar at Keswick Music Works and has developed a private teaching practice.
