Kat began her career in fitness after loosing 50 lbs from proper diet and exercise. She began her career as a personal trainer with a certification through the prestigious organization; NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine). She trained clients and became the fitness coordinator at the YMCA where she worked. As the fitness coordinator she taught various fitness classes, but the one class that she loved was yoga. She has taught yoga ever since getting her certification in 2001.
She learned to teach via Yogafit Training Systems and is scheduled for a 16 day intensive yoga training through White Lotus Foundation. She will then hold a 200 hr certification, thereby becoming a Registered Yoga Teacher.
Kat reads about yoga / meditation extensively as she feels that learning about your chosen / loved profession never stops. She not only teaches the class, but she has her own daily practice as well.
Kat feels that changing peoples lives though the practice of yoga is her true calling and looks forward to helping others love yoga as well.
