Karin Kiltz

I began sewing 47 years ago at age 6, when my mother taught me to make Barbie clothes. My mother and both grandmothers were accomplished seamstresses, and all my clothes were custom made. They were my first teachers. By age 12, I was able to make my own. I also took sewing classes several times in school, and classes at local fabric shops. Growing up with custom clothing, I was spoiled and dislike the poor fit and bad construction of mass-produced clothing. Sewing is an art, where you can can express your own style, and also have better fitting clothes, with better construction. I love passing on this art, it is my passion. Come join the fun!
