"I am currently a student of Justin Pierce and I have to say that Justin is teaching me to understand chord changes and their relationship to scales and he is helping me learn the music theory of improvising and playing jazz. I am an older student, have a family and work 40+ hours a week and play sax in several bands.
I have played by ear with CD's but have never learned the mechanics of music theory and harmony. This has its pluses but it limits my musical repertoire and Justin is teaching me how to become a better musician by showing me his apporach and he explains things in a way that I get it. I am a visual learner, and I need to see and play in order to understand and get it. Since i have been taking lessons w/ Justin my playing is improving and I am slowly becoming able to play the musical melodies that have been trapped in my head. Justin, i want to say Thanks for all your help and encouragement!!"

"I came to Justin as an experienced player looking to improve on some things I already knew a little about, and to pick up some new techniques and ideas for improvising. I got exactly what I was looking for, and at a good rate.

My playing improved a lot over the short time I studied with Justin. With his lessons, I filled in some of the gaps in my knowledge of theory and technique. New information was introduced at an appropriate pace, and at the right level based on my previous experience. This pacing was a very important piece for me because I work a full-time job in addition to playing as much saxophone as possible.

Justin is not only a great player, but also a thoughtful teacher who has a lot to offer a student of any level."
