  "I started taking lessons from John in July as a beginner basically. I had been trying to teach myself for a few months and wanted to up my game. I gave John and a try and he blew me away. I've gone from simple plucking to full on slap. My playing has grown by leaps and bounds. John was able to evaluate my level and made it very easy for me to learn and understand. I actually upped my lessons to twice a week AND I'm gigging on a regular basis now thanks to John. A++++ and highly recommended teacher. "

  "I've been playing on and off for over 20 years though not seriously in about 10. I thought my skill had plateaued years ago so I didn't think I could advance much as a player anymore. A few months ago I saw John live with his band Stephie Copland and The Pedestrians and was blown away. We talked a bit after the show and when I discovered that he was a teacher I figured I'd give it a lesson or two. Well, there was IMMEDIATE improvement in my playing. I couldn't believe it. After 20 plus years I didn't think it was possible to improve. It's as if a whole new world of playing has opened up to me. I'm a totally different player now. "
