John Asendorf

John has been writing for the internet since he saw another computer user using something called Mosaic in a computer lab in 1993. Throughout the 1990's he wrote dozens of sites as an independent contractor for numerous businesses throughout Ohio. In 1999 he began using PHP to replace the the cgi scripts he had been using. Its easy of use and straightforward language made it easy to write dynamic sites and he was hooked.

John went on to write large scale applications for county government and now works for a Fortune 500 company as an Applications Analyst. Although his daily routine no longer includes PHP, one of his hobbies is keeping up with the latest and greatest PHP innovations.

A retiree from the Army Reserve, John enjoys playing the saxophone but that, and all his hobbies for that matter, takes a back seat to his two children Bobby and Lily and his wife.
