• What do I need to bring/have for my first sewing lesson?

  If you are wanting lessons with machine sewing a sewing machine would be preferred. But if you are having difficulties deciding what machine you would like you can try on my machines first before purchasing one for your self.

• What do I need to bring/have for my first Cake decorating lesson?

  If you have decorating supplies like tips, decorating bags, icing that is great. If not I do include them in the price for the class.

• What will the first sewing lesson consist of?

  First we will sit down and see what your goals are that you are wanting to be able to accomplish with sewing and where your skills are at that time. I have started at the very beginning with making sure you were properly threading your machine or teaching you how to. Then we would do a simple project of making a pillow. It sounds very easy but most love to be able to show their friends and family that they made something on the very first lesson. Then I will plan on projects every lesson we have to help teach you more about sewing. If you are more advanced with some experience I will plan out projects that we will do together so if you have any questions I can be there to help.

• What will the first cake decorating lesson consist of?

  If you are brand new to cake decorating we will start with how to make a decorating bag with tip, use different tips to make a certain design and decorate some cookies or cupcakes. If you are a little more advanced we will discuss where you are with cake decorating and what you would like to learn and I will structure lessons around that.
