Jamie Santellano is an entrepreneur in silversmithing, and metal sculpture. Her handmade metal work and jewelry has been selling since 2004. Jamie's passion for old world genre sent her on a journey all over Ireland seeking out some of the island’s oldest castles and sacred sights, such as New Grange in the Boyne Valley. Many pieces of her jewelry are inspired by stone carvings found within the burial mound.
After traveling around Ireland, in 2006, Jamie attended workshops in the art of Silvermithing. Intense training was focused on the use of hammers and a torch to create bowls of various shapes to build a basic understanding of how to manipulate metal.
By January 2009, Jamie’s Ring of Goddess, a handmade ring, was published in Art Jewelry Magazine. To follow, in 2010 her first manuscript, a tutorial article on creating a rigid chainmaille band ring was also published in Art Jewelry Magazine.
Currently, Jamie creates silver jewelry and teaches classes in the art of chainmaille.
