Shantana Robinson is a woman on a mission, a mission for self empowerment, self care and awareness. Her drive for success started at a young age with outstanding grades and numerous awards and memberships. From Who’s Who in High School to Who’s Who in Black San Antonio, she has been featured. She attended Texas State University then called SWT, where she received her Bachelor’s in Business Science and Fashion Merchandising with a minor in Business Management. Being the natural born leader that she is, she went on to pursue and receive her Master’s of Business Science and Management with Honors. She also received numerous Graduate level certifications including IT management, Time management, Project management, and Change management. She has served on numerous executive boards for Mervyn’s and Homegoods respectively. She has assisted numerous retail and marketing firms with her knowledge and skills in the field. Seeing the need for people to be enlightened on branding oneself, she founded Executive Statement Image Consulting.
She has been a member of numerous corporate Who’s Who list as well as a trainer and executive manager/recruiter for numerous retail corporations bringing in new college management talent to their ranks throughout Texas. She now owns a consulting firm that specializes in helping individuals and companies look their best. Furthermore, she is an instructor at the International Academy of Design and Technology, where she teaches business management, merchandising, buying and visual design. She volunteers herself out to numerous campaigns including March of Dimes and the Fight for Diabetes. She is also a member of the “Go Red “campaign and an Ambassador for the American Heart Association in the Prevention of Strokes. Shantana has received numerous awards because of her outstanding dedication to her community and her business. Outside of working, she is actively involved in her church. She also loves to travel, cook, shop and read. She continues to be an advocate for children long after she left Child Protective Services where she worked as an Investigator for the state of Texas. She is also a long time supporter of Seton Home here is San Antonio, TX, which shelters homeless teenage mothers and their babies.
Currently , Shantana is hosting a her own radio show titled “Savvy Sistas” broadcasted on station AM 630 at 1230 PM centrally. Furthermore, she is also a member of the Alamo City Chamber of Commerce, the Association of Image Consultants International and Sistas In Business. Next on her to do list is to write a book! Shay is the daughter of Freeman and Laura McKinnon. She is a firm believer that you are only as big as your dreams …so dream big! Shay lives by the motto of “Be happy with who you are today, who you were yesterday and who you will become tomorrow….Live your life as if it’s Golden!”
