  "Both of my girls practiced piano with Heather (ages 7-10) and LOVED her! We were very sad to see her leave the area, but wish her all the best in her new adventure. The girls looked forward to lessons weekly and always ended their year with confidence for the recital. She provided them with a sound base at the beginner level from which they continue to progress with their music. My eldest also took up clarinet this year, and having had practiced music with Heather previously, has progressed very quickly adding a second instrument to her repertoire. Thank you Heather!"

  "Heather is a WONDERFUL piano teacher. She started teaching my son when he was 8 years old and he continued with her for the next 3 years (until she moved). (At his last recital he played Turkish March by Mozart beautifully.) She teaches in a positive manner and provided a wonderful foundation from which to build on. She is able to work with parents to individualize the instruction for their own child and she is able to teach both the beginner as well as the advanced player. I highly recommend her!"

  " Heather is a lovely person and a wonderful music teacher. She taught my son piano for two and a half years, and I sat in on many of their lessons. Heather took time to get to know my son and created a strong bond with him that made him want to do his best. She was supportive and consistent, challenged him to improve his playing, and taught him music theory in creative ways. My son has ADHD and often requires redirection, which Heather provided effortlessly and patiently. She is reliable, enthusiastic and professional and was a pleasure to work with. We miss her a lot and I highly recommend her."

  "My 9 old daughter has been taking lessons with Heather for the past year or so. This was her first exposure to the piano and she was excited to learn. Since our household became the recipient of a piano from a relative that passed away we were anxious to get some use out of the instrument. Heather tailors lessons to the student. Her teaching style is warm, friendly and inviting. (Just like her family) My daughter really enjoys her time at lessons. Heather pays a remarkable amount of attention to the playing techniques -- hand position, finger position. My daughter has fun and also learns so much each week.
