Born at an early age, Greg McMahan loved performing as long as he can remember. Beginning with shows for his parents, including brother and sisters as cast members, his whole family soon took to the stage at local community theaters in Cincinnati, Ohio. There he developed his skills as an actor, focusing on physical comedy.
As a teen in the early 1970's, Greg developed an interest in magic, sleight-of-hand and other forms of prestidigitation including juggling, puppetry and clowning that has continued to this day. He's written instructional books for other children's entertainers worldwide, and has conducted seminars and lectures for various magician & clown organizations including the International Brotherhood of Magicians and the World Clown Association.
Performing professionally in the Atlanta area as "The Wizard of Odd" and "Mister Greggy" since 1986, Greg has entertained at countless events, ranging from birthday parties to appearances in the Governor's Mansion. His specialty is children's shows, and he loves seeing the smiles on his audiences faces!
Since 1993, Greg has taught magic, clowning, balloon sculpting and juggling to thousands of children at Circus Camp, a summer day camp located near Atlanta which focuses on spreading the joy of circus skills. Other subjects taught there include trapeze, tightwire, drama, dancing, web and acrobatics.
Greg toured with the Clyde Beatty~Cole Bros Circus as the "Circus Ambassador" for their 119th season. As the national spokesperson during the nine month, 110 city tour, he traveled ahead of the 3 three ring circus, doing hundreds of promotional appearances on TV, radio, newspaper, schools and other live events.
