I'm a guitarist, musician, artist, teacher, husband, friend, and most recently—Daddy. I enjoy helping others to find and nurture their own creativity. For myself and others, I seek abundant life—truth, beauty, and whole-hearted living. I want people to experience art as more than just entertainment or "extracurricular activity". I really love teaching. I believe that our culture desperately needs music & arts teachers to show us how the study of art can infuse life with meaning and purpose.

"Jason is a fabulous guitar teacher! He is knowledgeable in guitar as well as music theory. He is an accomplished artist as well. He was very patient in teaching my son and gave guidance in a positive, encouraging way. We enjoyed our time with Jason. "

"Jason is an incredible classical guitar teacher. I took lessons for over a year and was astonished with the grounds we covered in such little time. Lessons with Jason improved me as a musician in countless ways. It wasn't about just learning how to play guitar. I learned how to practice effectively with maximum results. He knew exactly what I needed as a guitarist and how to improve my playing. I learned more than just how to play classical guitar. We never had a lesson in which we didn't discuss how guitar and music effected my life. I had to discontinue my lessons due to school schedules. I was very sad to end that season. I learned so much from Jason and I apply the skills he taught me everytime I sit down to play. I hope to take lessons from him again in the future."

"I haven't had many guitar teachers in my lifetime but I knew after the first lesson I had made the best choice possible. Jason is an expert with a wealth of knowledge of classical guitar. But what makes his teaching methodology so addictive is his low pressure "relax and enjoy the experience" attitude. His personable approach, combined with an unique ability to customize the lessons to my needs, gives me the inspiration and confidence I need to learn classical guitar. I have already recommended him and will continue to recommend his studio to others."

"Jason is a really great teacher. I've been taking from him for a while now, and I really enjoy the pace of my progress and Jason's style of teaching. He adapts specific lessons around my practice schedule and is very supportive of what my goals are for learning to play guitar. One other cool result of taking lessons from Jason is the friendship that we've developed. I plan on studying guitar from him for a long time to come."

"Making Cello Jam - Jason Giger, and a few of his band friends, were guest instructors at a workshop for the Atlanta Cello Project, working with eight cellists on playing with "the band". Jason led this hands-on group instruction on playing from lead sheets and doing a little improvisation, to give us confidence to play at a Church or a Bar! Making Cello Jam pulled all of us out of our comfort zones with classical music to that fabulous place of making music from the heart and not the head. Don't get me wrong, we talked about music theory, the circle of fifths, chord inversions and the pentatonic scale, too. Jason Geiger is a fantastic and gentle teacher as well as a talented performer. Everyone got a chance to practice the techniques we learned with master "band"."

"I have booked Jason on several occasions to play for various events, and I have also heard him perform in concert formats. Classical guitar is an exceedingly technical art form, and therefore a musician can often lose the artistry of the performance. This is not the case with Mr. Giger. Jason is not only technically exceptional, he infuses his playing with a depth of experience and emotion that make listening to him a profound pleasure. I would recommend him for any venue or event. (By the way, I know that he also plays many other styles from Rock to Celtic as well)."

"I do not "teach-from-on-high" –that goes a little something like: "listen here, you're the student who knows nothing and I'm the teacher who knows everything, so just do what I say and you'll be great, just like me!" We've all experienced this kind of teacher, at least once in our past. Sadly, in my first couple years of teaching I naively adopted that "top-down" approach with my students. I'm ashamed to say that most of it was a subconscious effort to bolster my own artistic insecurities. As I've matured as guitarist/artist and grown as a human being I have come to strongly believe that good student/teacher relationships involve MUTUAL engagement, MUTUAL dedication, and MUTUAL respect. I enjoy explaining it to my newest students like this: "As of today, we are BOTH guitarists and we are BOTH traveling the same path toward being better guitarists. I have been further down this path than you have, so naturally, I can show you what lies ahead and what helped me get past this or that obstacle. AND, by helping you and learning from the unique way that you will walk this path, I will remember important things that I had forgotten and learn new approaches from our interactions that will help me get further down the path than I have ever been before. We are both gonna learn together!" So, this is obviously a self-review, and in the past, I've been barely capable of deserving a couple of stars, for the reasons I've mentioned. But now, and for the past 15 years, I love teaching very much, and I believe I am a very good guitar teacher. But I'll keep it to a mere 4 & 1/2 stars. I really enjoy learning more about music, the guitar, and my students with every lesson every week. But, I don't wanna forget to keep reaching for that extra half-a-star :) "

"Jason has done a wonderful job teaching guitar to my 9 year old daughter. In addition to being a gifted musical artist and a skilled teacher, Jason also takes a genuine interest in the student seeking to help them grow and develop as a musician and as a person. I highly recommend Jason to you as guitar teacher."

"Jason has an unusually gifted instinct for performance and teaching. Jason's life is not segmented from his teaching and performance—rather, every fiber of his being seems to flow into his passion for playing and teaching rather effortlessly. I'd recommend him to anyone."

"I give Jason a super rating. Wish there was about 50 more stars to choose. Jason does a fantastic job teaching my 10 year old daughter. He has taught her not only to play the guitar but also to read music. She is really starting to play the guitar well.. We are very happy that we have Jason teaching. If you are looking for a fantastic guitar instructor look no further you have found him. All I can say is Awesome!"

"I have been a student of Jason from end of 2011 and have observed him very closely. Firstly, Jason is a wonderful Guitarist, an absolute Guru in his area of expertise. When he plays the Guitar, I just sit back and listen in amazement!! Secondly, Jason is a wonderful Guitar teacher. The best thing about him are his teaching methodology and his patience while teaching. He always looks on the positives and keeps encouraging you all the time. With all the encouragement that he provides while teaching, learning becomes fun and you are bound to do good. He is also a great observer, and will tell you in a glance all the things that you need to improve upon while you are learning to play the Guitar. Lastly, Jason is a great human being, something that I, being his student, value the most. He is a teacher, a guide and a great friend. Thank you Jason!!"
