IN the 1960's I was the best high school distance runner in America; I set world high school marks for distances from 1-mile through 5000 meters. I won the American Olympic Trials at 10,000 meters and represented American in the Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan. I ran 10,000 meters in the annual USA USSR Duel Meet amidst the cold war in 1946 and beat the Russian; the first time an American distance runner had ever won.
I have won Eleven NCAA Individual Championships even though in those days I was not allowed to race as a freshman in college and had only three years of NCAA racing. I not only ran well, I inspired other runners as well. Together we started a distance running revolution in America that has literally CHANGED THE WORLD.
AS your COACH/ADVISER I will build in you a winning attitude; create some great workouts; and guide you in race strategies.
