Catherine Duncan

Catherine Knight Duncan earned the Bachelor of Music in Music History & Literature from the University of North Texas (1990) where she also studied German with Prof. Kjell Johansson & Prof. Dr. William Nahrgang. She did graduate study in musicology & flute at UNT and Southwestern Seminary & taught music for 12 years before earning alternative certification in German & ESL. She taught German at Mansfield High School in spring 2007 & served North Crowley High School as World Languages specialist in the SPED Department. She is co-coordinator of the Bundesrealgymnasium Spittal (Austria)--North Central Texas Exchange Project. A member of the American Association of Teachers of German, Sigma Alpha Iota Professional Music Fraternity for Women, & Pi Kappa Lambda Music Honor Society, International Taekwondo Alliance (First Degree Black Belt), Duncan was a Richardson Fellow in German at the Austin College Summer Language Institute (2009) & is principal flute of the Brazos Chamber Orchestra.
