Fleur is an exercise physiologist, and is certified in teaching Pilates, yoga, cardio kickboxing, and spinning, and holds a unique certificate for using Pilates to address injuries and pathologies. She also coaches running clinics to individuals who want to add jogging to their fitness program.
Fleur can create a personalized program for you or you can join her in her large group classes. She currently teaches private and semiprivate sessions at two studios in North Tustin, and in community centers across South Orange County.
Her unique teaching style will help you understand and address any muscular imbalances, physical limitations and injuries.
Fleur has taught exercise at the college level since 1993, and is currently an Assistant Professor at Saddleback College in the Gero-kinesiology department. She is a BASI certified Pilates instructor with both Masters and Bachelors degrees in kinesiology from CSU Fullerton and Baylor University. Fleur was formerly the Director of the Pregnagym at Irvine Medical Center, and has worked in settings such as injury reduction and prevention in the workplace, and with elite athletes at the Tom Landry Sports Medicine and Research Center.

Last week was my last summer Yoga Session with Fleur. When I first signed up "I was a little stectable because, I had heard her class was very hard",but thought I would be the judge of it. I have never come across an Outstanding Instructor/Teacher as Fleur. She was fantastic, so knowledgeable, & totally understood every step of the way, sure some "moves were difficult, but was able to plow right through it"...I am sooooo glad I stayed with the class, she is wonderful Instructor...I did not know she taught Pilates, so I'll have to check into that. "I have been a student in Fleur's yoga classes for seniors for 8 years. I'm very glad I've had the chance to be her student for so many years, and look forward to many more years. My aging body is still deteriorating, but at a slower pace than it would without the benefits of yoga.
I know from having been a teacher (although in a very different subject) what challenges a teacher faces. Fleur does it with the professionalism that gives her students confidence in her, but also with a personal approach and sense of humor that makes her a person to her students as well as a teacher.
She is excellent at giving us choices for each pose depending upon our own abilities. But she always makes sure we are pushing our own bodies a little further. She emphasizes that we are the best judges of what our bodies will and won't allow us to do. I really appreciate that because no one in our classes has fallen or hurt him/herself.
I love watching the more complicated poses that Fleur can do. She is always improving her own yoga practice to challenge herself although her level is far above ours.
I have enjoyed classes with other yoga teachers, but Fleur combines a mixture of elements in her class that keep bringing me back year after year. "

"I am probably a little biased, as I've been fortunate enough to be friends with Fleur since high school and we were able to reconnect a number of years ago. :) This past couple of years I had to re-shape my previously healthy body, as a thyroid condition changed my weight and I had been not working out for the last couple of years; so, I was looking to get back to the gym, do yoga and pilates and generally change my body back (an uphill battle when you have a thyroid to balance out too!). I've done mat pilates on my own at home (DVDs), but went for some private classes with Fleur to kickstart me back on the road to health. And let me qualify by saying: if I did not believe in Fleur's personality and talent, I would not have taken this opportunity to spend time in her private studio space.
What I love is that Fleur takes a comprehensive history along with what you're looking to accomplish with your visits so she can help focus your time together to really hone in on the results you're looking to get. She's ALWAYS cheerful, positive and is very precise in making sure you're using proper form for safety AND so you will see results! Based on your needs, she will customize/tailor a program for optimal results for you as well.

"I have been taking yoga from Fleur for at least 5 years, and I am still enjoying it. I am more limber now then I was when I was in high school. Getting older really stinks, so keeping my body strong really helps. Almost a year ago I started her private pilates class and really love the one on one even more. "I started to take Fleur's Yoga class three years ago. Even though I could practice Yoga for free elsewhere, I choose her class in Lake Forest with fee just because I want to have her as my instructor. She is personable and very pleasant. She challenges us to push a little more without hurting ourselves. For this reason she often gives us a few optional ways to achieve the poses so that students can choose the most suitable one based on their condition of the day or the level. Her verbal instructions are also so clear that I could follow with my eyes closed, and this enables me to concentrate on my forms.
