Fitness is my passion! I love training, motivating others and helping them achieve their goals.
I have 8 years in the fitness industry. Based out of Chicago, I have gained my experience working for many gyms in the area, both big and small. I teach invigorating group exercise classes with groups ranging from 10-50+ in size. I also design challenging individualized programs for personal training.
I strive to create programs which are challenging, motivating, but most importantly fun! Living a healthy life style is not easy. But in the right setting, with the right guide, anything and everything is possible!

"I usually meet with Yecenia regularly to add a new more challenging routine, well last time not only did I get my new routine but also a bonus exercise drill session! It was amazing! We met by a running track and the boot camp begun! She pushed me to the maximum, I was doing extreme cardiovascular and strength exercises in a fast paced timing that not only made me burn tons of calories but also helped me gain agility.
I was very impressed with myself because after working with Yecenia for only 6 months I can see and feel the results from all the hard work. I feel like I can do anything and I know that Yecenia will push me to do so. Thank you Trainer! "

"Yecenia's Zumba class is simply amazing!!! Whether at the Logan Xport or Kareem Team Fitness on Grand, it is the best combination of dance and exercise. I am probably one of the most uncoordinated and clumsy people in the class but it is such a fun work out that it doesn't even matter how bad of a dancer I am... it is absolutely exhilarating. Yecenia is not only an amazing instructor but also a very caring individual and she is always there to make sure that everyone is enjoying themselves. She really knows what she is doing. The class is pretty fast paced and keeps you on your toes. The overall atmosphere is very friendly and interactive. I higly recommed this class to everyone, from beginners to the more advanced. Good time guaranteed!"

"I cannot say enough about Yecenia’s spinning class at Xsport. It is a great way to get in a vigorous, challenging workout while burning a ton of calories and keeping your muscles in shape. It’s intense…the lights are turned down, the music is pumping and Yecenia is calling out commands. Just when you think you can slack for a second, there she is to pick you up- “Let’s go, keep those legs moving!” Yecenia encourages you and motivates you to push yourself. And somewhere deep inside, you find the energy to continue and cross the “finish line.” I’ve taken other spinning classes but I have yet to find one as challenging and satisfying as Yecenia’s. If you are looking for an intense and challenging workout that is also fun, this is definitely the way to go!"

"I love what Yecenia has done for me! When I first started working with her, I could barely do one push-up, now I can do about 20! In the beginning she started by showing me basic exercises that helped me control my form, after that she has helped me build my muscular strength, muscular endurance, cardiovascular endurance, and flexibility. I know that Yecenia really cares about my results because she checks up on me regularly, and she calls me to talk about my progress, which gives great confidence to continue in this path of good health! As far as the session's diversity, she keeps them really interesting by using different free weight exercises, machines, and other new exercising tools. I never burned so many calories in an hour and a half before! Now I burn up to 1000 calories! I would recommend Yecenia to anyone, she has made a difference in my life and I'm sure she can do the same for you! Thank you Yecenia!

"The cardio Kickboxing class that Yecenia instructs at xsport Logan square gets my heartrate skyrocketing. This is a full body workout,and I feel very accomplished after this one hour workout. Yecenia's enthusiasm and energy in this class makes me want to keep coming back. Yecenia's class is intense but still allows me to workout at my own individual pace."
