Elvis Collado is an acclaimed dancer, performer, choreographer and competitor who recently won the coveted title of NY/NJ Salsa On2 Champion. Sought after to perform at Congresses around the world, Elvis is best known for his stylistic flair and awesome spinning technique. He is a protégé of 2009 World Champions Luis Aguilar and Anya Katsevman, and has had extensive dance training since the age of 15. His talent has led him to perform onstage with the greatest names in salsa, including Jose Alberto “El Canario”, Orquesta Dee Jay, and Paquito Guzman. Even with his busy schedule Elvis finds time to compete worldwide with his current dance partner, Teresa Garcia, and as part of several dance companies including Los Soneros del Swing directed by Chicago’s Andy Cruz, and in all-star collaborations with renowned Broadway choreographer Sekou McMiller. And now, teaching for the first time in NYC, Elvis brings his expertise in teaching NY nightclub-style salsa “On 2” (a/k/a “mambo”), to you! "I had always wanted to learn how to dance salsa, but having two left feet was always afraid to try. I wanted to learn it to be able to dance it socially. I had no idea what to expect but when I walked into the class, I was warmly greeted by both the instructors, Elvis and Caryn, who immediately made me feel at home. As a beginner I liked the program they had because although it's an 8-week course like many other schools offer, EnC's focus was on having their students practice as often as they could (and team up, if possible). In addition to the friendships I've formed with EnC and the other students, I really appreciated the weekly email recaps I got which of course not only reminded me to practice towards perfection (which I've got a long way to go LOL), but helped me to retain everything I learned during those initial 8 weeks. I am now a happy camper, an intermediate dancer enjoying a life filled with weekly social salsa events! That was the best $130 I ever spent ;)"

"Elvis is the man. My wife and I have been taking private classes with him for a few months. He is a great instructor. There are a lot of great dancers out there. Elvis is not only an amazing dancer but more importantly he is good at teaching others. Not everyone has this skill. It is a gift that very few people have. I highly recommend Elvis....even though the busier he gets the less time he has for me!"
