"I started taking conga lessons with Edgardo at age seven and he has worked with me to develop my musical skills for more than 10 years. Edgardo is an extremely skilled and multi-talented professional musician, and his knowledge of Salsa, Latin music, and Afro-Caribbean rhythms is extensive. He's also a great teacher and a wonderful person. There's nothing like learning an instrument from a lifetime professional conguero, and Edgardo is the best. "

"Ive been studying Afro-Cuban percussion with Edgardo Cambon for about seven years. He's a great musician and a superb teacher who seems to know all the tricks for getting students where they want to go. I've never had a bad lesson, or even a mediocre lesson. Edgardo makes each and every lesson meaningful and memorable. Since he's not my first teacher I have a way to compare his effectiveness as a teacher to others, and that's why I'm still his student after all these years. The subject of Afro-Cuban music and percussion is vast but Edgardo seems to know more than most, having himself studied with some of the people who invented the music, like Jose Luis Quintana(Changuito). There is no question about recommending him to others. He's the real deal if you want to learn any of a number of styles of Afro-Cuban, Afro-Carribean, or Afro-Puerto Rican rhythms."

"Edgardo is gifted and energetic teacher. I learned the fundamentals of congas and timbales from him and every lesson was packed with great practice routines and performance tips. He knows latin music inside out, drawing on years of experience as a percussionist, singer, songwriter and bandleader. He gave our latin jazz ensemble the pivotal feedback we needed for your first gig. He's got something for everyone from rank beginner to experience professional. All this and he's a ton of fun. "
