I've been practicing yoga and meditation since 1999. While keeping my body healthy, yoga brightened my mood and balanced my emotions, which had gotten pretty shaky. Sharing this secret is my greatest joy! I spent 18 years as a public servant and clean water activist in Washington, D.C., where I negotiated positive changes in public policy to protect and conserve fish, sea turtles, marine mammals and their habitats as well as to protect pregnant women, children and the elderly from dangerous toxins in drinking water. In 2006, I traveled the world, soaking up its cultures, customs and traditions. Blending this multicultural wisdom, I now offer the lessons of yoga to heal others. I am blessed to split my time between the soothing waters of Maui and the peaceful forests of my home state of New Hampshire.
Devi has trained over 1000 hours with master teachers. She is a Certified Yoga Therapist through Inner Peace Yoga Therapy, an advanced LifeForce Yoga® Practitioner under Amy Weintraub, a Sivananda certified Siromani by Swami Sita, and a grateful student of vinyasa master Tom Gillette and yogi goddess Jennifer Lynn.

"I initially met Dawn at an Business After Hours gathering in my hometown. I was fortunate to have chatted with her and she left her card with me as well. I hung on to it for a good six months until I got up enough courage to give her a call. I was 58 at the time and had never done Yoga. I knew I would be more comfortable having some knowledge before entering a studio on poses, breathing, and the history behind Yoga. I took 3 private classes, nearly 2hrs. each. She sent me home with recommended reading, practice poses and,mini quizzes on line. She exceeded my expectations on all levels. She understood I was anxious, she understood I was older, she understood my desire to feel better emotionally and physically. Because she was moving from the area, she pointed me in the direction of a small and intimate studio where I might begin my practice in my town. It was perfect and I was so happy with what I was accomplishing. I will be 60 in August. I still attend weekly Yoga classes and I have Dawn to thank for my humble beginning!"
