I'm a degreed Family Science and Consumer Education Instructor with 35 years of experience. My studio, is located in my home which I which I share with my husband and a cat. We have two sons who are grown living in other parts of the country. I am a member of the American Quilting Society, the American Sewing Guild, and Quilters Club of America. While to date, I have not won any awards, I am honored that two of my pieces are on permanent display at Illinois VFW Post 805. I was also one of three quilters from Illinois to create the Illinois block for the National Declaration of Freedom Quilt 2013 which is still in progress. When I am not sewing at home, you can usually find me working at the local fabric shop.

"I am a beginner at sewing, and I was a little bit worried on wether or not making a quilt would be too challenging for me, but contacting Debbie was the best step for me in order to learn how to quilt. I learned more than I thought I would have learned. Debbie taught me alot as far as sewing techniques and how to make a quilt from beginning to end. I accomplished making my first quilt!!! I am now confident that I can continue quilting. Thanks Debbie!!"
