Corinna Smith

Violinist/educator Corinna Smith earned her degree in music education with K-12 teaching certificate at Michigan State University while maintaining an active private studio, a high school fiddle ensemble, and her own performance schedule. Corinna has taught and performed alongside Mark O’Connor for the Illinois state chapter of ASTA and is also an alumna of the Canada-based touring fiddle sensation Barrage. From 2003-2010 Corinna taught fiddle music in Saline, MI public schools and directed an award-winning high school fiddle group known as Fiddlers ReStrung.
Recently, Corinna served on the faculty of Singapore’s Mandeville Conservatory of Music and presented educational sessions on creative musicianship at the 2010 Singapore International String Conference.
