"I studied with Cliff for about 2 years at NOCCA. Since my NOCCA days, I've moved on to the New England Conservatory and I can honestly say that I still use what Cliff taught me actively on a regular basis. Cliff's lessons are very individualized and allow you to tighten up fundamentals and various music concepts while still pushing you toward finding your own sound. I personally really enjoyed the fact that whenever I heard Cliff perform, I could always tell that Cliff had extremely impressive and unique skills in all of the music areas he was coaching me in at the time, which is not always the case with guitar teachers these days. I would definitely say that no matter where you are in your musical development, any time spent with Cliff will certainly jump-start your progress."

"I studied with Cliff over a summer at NOCCA and am currently studying at Berklee College of Music. Without Cliff, I would not be where I am today. Cliff has the insightful knowledge of music as well as the playing ability to really push students to a new level of musicality. While Cliff is a very gifted teacher and performer, he also has the unique ability to really inspire his students. Cliff really made me dig deep into jazz and other genres that I had not even thought about until that point. And while you start that journey, he will be there along the way to guide you in the right direction. However, his genuine interest in a students progression is what sets Cliff apart from the rest. "

"Cliff was a great guitarist to look up to when I studied jazz guitar at NOCCA. He also gave me a few valuable lessons filled with good improvisation pointers. Its always good to hear Cliff play and he , along with the rest of the jazz-faculty at NOCCA, was a factor towards me getting into the Butler School of Music at UT Austin and many other students who sought to continue their artistic studies at a university level."
