Hello, my name is Alex. I love movement arts and I love teaching. I believe that everyone has amazing physical potential and I enjoy helping people unlock that potential. Want to try something new?
I competed gymnastics in the Junior Olympics for 6 years. I also performed in over 30 theatre shows including many lead roles.
I have taught both math and gymnastics college classes as well as been a tutor for various college subjects. I currently teach acrobatics and theatre classes for ages 3-10.

"I took a beginner aerials class. Alex was competent and encouraging; he taught at a good level for me and while it was a fairly casual class I felt totally safe on the equipment. "

"I have performed with and trained with this aerialist for two years now, and know and trust him to be one of the most well-communicated, well-informed, body aware, safe and generally skilled aerial acrobats I have ever met. Being a circus professional myself, that's really saying something - I know a lot of them.
He is good at giving very specific key advice when you are learning a new skill, or trying to polish up one you already have some grasp of. He teaches physical arts to both adults and children, and understands that everyone communicates differently, so he makes a poignant effort to learn how You best communicate and understand, and apply that when teaching. His vocabulary (quantity of movements already mastered) is impressive, and his innovation more-so. He teaches to all levels in an encouraging and fun way. I highly, highly recommend taking a class from him if you want to improve in aerial acrobatics/dance (or handstands, or backflips, or slack-line)."
