My family is a modern and traditional culture. My side, Navajo. My husband's, Cherokee/Swiss-Italian. We are a contradiction within ourselves. We were taught by our elders to respect life, nature, and the beings. For the Swiss-Italian culture, we have also taught our children Italian culture/tradition. We hold all culture/tradition sacred. To honor all that is good and bad. A lesson is everywhere and to be learned. We have taught these to my children and are teaching to our new grandchild. We keep our items Traditional to Native American (Italian) designs and to special orders. But, we also do contemporary style for the new styles that have captured our youth for the new millenium. Everything is handmade by our family. We attend local powwows and craft shows. Remember Math means To Learn.
