I have been teaching flute since 1975, and graduated summa cum laude from Univ. of Northern Colorado in 1981 with a Bachelor of Music Ed. We moved to Portland OR right away where I got involved with the Greater Portland Flute Society and started the Rose City Flute Choir. I taught flute lessons (ten years with Beacock's Music in Vancouver WA), taught adjunct faculty flute for Warner Pacific College, Multnomah School of the Bible, Columbia Christian College, and gigged as much as possible, playing regularly with OR Symphonic Band, Portland Chamber Orchestra, Masterworks Orchestra, and others. I started two or three pro flute quartets as well as other chamber ensembles with guitar and clarinet. Since moving to Colorado Springs I serve as asst. director of Pikes Peak Flute Choir and have performed with Steve Green, Michael Card, the Gettys, and others. I was asst. director of MandoCentrics mandolin orchestra for a number of years. I am currently band directing 5th and 6th graders as well as teaching all flutes, basic guitar, mandolin, ukulele, and mountain dulcimer.
