Kayla Templin

I'm Kayla Roschelle, a 22 year old artistic entrepreneur living in the Dallas Texas Area.

I am currently taking a short break from my theatre education from the University of Texas at Arlington to enjoy life, work in my field a bit, and pursue other artistic endeavors. I plan to go back at some point to finish but right now I'm just enjoying life's stage.

Growing up, I never questioned that I would be a performance artist of some kind for the rest of my life, and when I did I was miserable. People urged me to be what I wanted, and so here we are - happily living the life I dreamed of and while it isn't the easiest way to make a living I wouldn't have it any other way.

Within the theatre, I adore the stage, especially when singing is involved. I'm a super dork in the since that I love script analysis and character development and have thought that it might lead me down a path of drama turging in the future. None the less, when I'm not on stage my interest in a production doesn't end there. I also really love the technical aspect of it [ which is actually where i started in theatre ;], so when I don't have the opportunity to be on stage you can find me designing, building, directing, decorating, or stage managing.

Outside of the theatre, I'm a street performer / Skill toy artist. Currently, I spin and teach poi spinning and well as playing with staff, double staffing, and I'm recently learning performance hula hooping. If I thought they would take me, I'd be at Cirque du Soleil right this second, and don't think it's something I haven't looked into ;] I'd love to learn more, if your a fellow skill toy performer!!

Other than my performance background, I'm a huge gamer, and if I don't end up performing I'd love to do something within the gaming industry. If I'm not performing, chances are, I'm stuck to my xbox or pc on some amazing adventure. Currently, I aspire to become a Fragdoll.
