I am a professional Drum Circle Facilitator, Musician and Teacher.
I have been playing drums since I was 10 yrs. old - growing up in a family of professional, touring musicians. I taught Music in several schools for about 10 years and have been teaching private lessons in Drumming for 15 years.
My philosophy in teaching is based primarily on the Joy factor. :)
Having fun is priority while learning.
My methods work because I customize my lessons based on the student's strengths and capacity to digest information.
Developing confidence is an important element in the ability to steadily progress in learning and I find ways to simplify, explain and demonstrate the information in fun and interesting ways to help the information to be easily understood, so that each student can quickly see their progress. I am flexible with my teaching structure and manuever it around each student to best aid them in their pace of learning.
