  "Debbie Lamedman was my very first acting teacher. She changed my life. When I first met her I was a very shy and timid young girl who wanted to be an actress. By the end of my first year in her class I was an outgoing and confident young actress. She really knew how to pull me out of my shell. Debbie created such a warm and safe environment for young actors. I never felt self-conscious. I looked forward to her class most of all. It was always so much fun. I really grew a lot not only as an actress but also as a person. I went on to study Theatre in college, and let me tell you, Debbie is by far the best acting teacher I have ever had. I don't think I could have gotten in to such a prestigious acting school without Debbie's help on coaching my audition monologue. She worked with me until I felt totally confident with the material. I knew that monologue inside and out. Debbie was so devoted to her students and always there to help. She genuinely cares about all her students. In college I actually felt like I was ahead of most people in my acting classes because of the amazing training I had received from Debbie during High School. A teacher that is also a playwright is a dream come true because she really understands every aspect of the theatre. She knows the playwright's perspective and the actors perspective.
