Well hello! My name is Benny and I'm a National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) certified personal trainer located in New York City. My objective is to help my clients reach their goals in a natural, fun, yet challenging environment. I believe that by working out either barefoot or with minimalist shoes, you can better improve your form, posture, and alleviate common injuries due to a sedentary lifestyle and improper training techniques. By no means do I require any of my clients to exercise barefoot or buy new shoes, but I feel over time you'll see the advantages to strengthening your feet and transitioning to a barefoot workout.
I am also a Level I Pose Running instructor. Pose running is an efficient technique where the runner lands with his/her GCM (general center of mass, aka hips) over the ball of the foot, creating a faster and pain-free stride.
As well as being fully insured, I'm also certified in CPR and AED (Automated External Defibrillator).

"Barefoot Benny's boot camp workout was quite enjoyable. Benny is funny and has a light-hearted approach to motivating his students. We were all given personal attention and adjustments and he seemed to customize the workout based on the fitness levels of our group. I thought I would be self-conscious doing burpees and plank-slalom-relays (sounds interesting, doesn't it?) in the middle of the park but Benny put us at ease right away. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants a fun, challenging (but as another reviewer said not frustratingly difficult) workout that keeps you on your toes. p.s. - come prepared with your best A-material jokes - it helps during the tough stretches at the end of the workout! "
