After graduating from CMU with a degree in Psychology, she taught yoga to children while working at the Carriage House Children's School in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
In 2003 she received her yoga teacher certification from Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in Lenox,Massachusetts with Rashmi Sue Jenkins and Yoganand Michael Carroll. While there she also received training in Pranayama, Meditation, and Ayurveda.
In 2004 she received her SomaVeda certification in Thai Yoga Massage Therapy withAnthony B. James LMT, ND, MDAM.
In 2010, Stacey received her certification from Budding Yogis to be a children's yoga teacher.
Stacey is an E-RYT 200 with Yoga Alliance. She is working towards her 500 hours with Maria Garre and Shiva Rea.
Stacey teaches various forms of yoga stemming from a Kripalu background and bringing that into a Vinyasa flow which uses the sun salutation throughout the routine and links breath to movement or by moving with intention. Stacey has studied Iyengar, Anusara, Ashtanga, Prana Flow and Baptiste yoga. She is a lover of Kundalini Yoga (Kriya Yoga), that uses Pranayama and Kriyas to detoxify the body and stimulate the mind. She uses a hands-on approach with her students and encourages them to listen to their bodies and their innerself. A firm believer that personal exploration and growth are essential to the heart of a yoga practice, she encourages her students to find the connection between yoga and their emotional well-being.

""Thanks Stacey and Ed for an amazing cooking class…you two make a terrific team. Stacey, you were so organized and made the cooking process seamless, while Ed cleaned all of the dishes! The meal was amazing and it was nice spending time with the both of you. Thanks again for all of the cooking tips, tricks, and suggestions. When Larry came home that evening, he was excited to try everything (even though he is not vegan!)…..he says thanks for an amazing meal too!!!!! On another note, within the same week, I had the confidence after taking your cooking class to make homemade ravioli and a vegan chocolate cake. If it hadn’t been for your cooking demonstration, I would have never ventured to make homemade ravioli on my own…..I will definitely call on you again for future veggie cooking classes!!" ~Jenn C., Potomac, MD "

""A huge thanks to Stacey for spending time with me over the course of the last several months. I have taken yoga classes in the past, and never truly felt that I belonged. I am a marathon runner and rarely take the time to stretch and practice flexibility. When attending yoga classes in the past, I felt they were a waste of my time and that my body was not made to bend those ways. I was actually told from another yoga instructor that I should stay in a beginner class for a long, long time. Being a competitive/athletic person, this almost made me throw in my yoga mat, until I took one of Stacy’s yoga classes. Stacey was not like your typical yoga instructor. She made me feel comfortable right from the start and when she noticed I struggled with certain positions, she always suggested modifications. It was the first time, I felt confident with my yoga practice. I wanted to learn more from Stacey, so I purchased one-on-one yoga sessions with her. This was the best money ever spent! Stacey assessed my situation and tailored a yoga routine to meet my specific needs. I have been working with Stacey for about 2 months and have seen a big difference in all areas of my practice. The best part of working with Stacey privately, is that I get the individual attention and the instruction on how to do poses correctly. I can now transfer this knowledge over to other group classes. Thanks Stacey for making me more aware of the importance of flexibility, creating a personalized routine for me to do on my own, and the awareness and balance I am able to transfer to other areas of my life!! ~Jenn C., Potomac, MD "

"Practicing yoga with Stacey is very special. She is very good at inspiring people and I have seen yoga students including me could do certain asanas very easily by following her teaching that they couldn't do before. Also, her vinyasa flow makes people be centered and let things go easily. I feel energized and so relaxed every time I take her class. I strongly recommend her class to people who want to be strong, be relaxed and like challenges. I can't wait until the next class!"
