I love teaching people to decorate. I love cake designing also but teaching others to decorate is my first love. I took a cake decorating course in Beaumont, Texas in the year of 1990 just to bake and decorate cakes for my family. When people learned that I could decorate, my cake career began. I've decorated for people out of my home for a long while then I went to work for Brookshire Brother in the bakery. I moved and started working for Walmart bakery. I wasn't very happy there because I couldn't decorate cakes the way that I like. In retail bakeries, they don't want you to spend much time on one cake. They want you to just throw it together. Then, I went to work for a private owned bakery and I could express myself there. I was the head decorator. I stayed there for years then bought my own bakery. I later sold it because I was driving 45 minutes on way to work and open a small little bakery where I live. I've been a Wilton Method Instructor for a few years now.
