I'm a forty-something whose favorite t-shirt is the one that says "Stop destroying our planet. It's where I keep all my stuff."
I have a love/hate relationship with consumerism (does an adult woman really need six Barbies? not enough to call a collection, but still...) and have learned that I'm happier when my living space is organized in a way that makes sense for how I live (why is the jewelry on the other side of the room from the mirror?).
I've helped friends climb out from under dirty, packed basements and organize their kitchens in ways that made cooking a pleasure again. Piles of things always make us feel like they are dragons and we don't have the right tools or amount of courage, or both, to slay them. Let me bring my sword and shield and help a sister (or brother) out.

"Whether you're looking for someone to help you organize your thoughts or your belongings, Carol can help. I've had her come in for projects large and small, personal and professional. She always brings valuable perspective & guidance to the table."

"My basement. What can I say? I moved in with my partner and the merging of households left me overwhelmed with stuff. Carol arrived and within a very short time we had a plan of attack. The reorganization took several hours over a couple of days. Carol was able to help me keep it all in perspective, which kept me from becoming overwhelmed again. The reorg was so good that I made room for a hobby area for my mosaics! Later, when I felt comfortable letting go of some of the 'stuff', I was able to go through the perfectly organized items and pull out enough things to make $200 at a yard sale. Definitely worth the time and effort we put into it. I can highly recommend Carol."
