Jeffrey Smith

I have been involved with watersports my whole life, including wakeboarding, wakesurfing, kayaking, canoeing, surfing, and kiteboarding.
I am also an avid boater, cyclist, snowboarder, and all around outdoorsman
I have been kiting for for about 7 years, and became an instructor in 2010.
I'm currently working with Great Lakes Kiteboarding and Great Lakes Surf, teaching lessons at Tawas Point State Park in East Tawas Michigan. This is an ideal location for teaching and riding with shallow sandy shores, open beaches, and rideable wind in all wind directions.

Great Lakes Kiteboarding is Michigan's original Kiteboarding school, promoting watersports and teaching the future of kiteboarding from an ideal location at Tawas Point for 13 years. We use the latest equipment and proven techniques, enabling our students to reach they're goals and maximize they're time, to become independent kiteboarders, while emphasizing saftey and fun.
