Ustad Hamid Hossain

I was born in a musical family in Murshidabad, West Bengal, India. I was taught Tabla, Sitar, and North Indian Classical vocal by my father, Ustad Kader Buksh. After moving to the states, I was recruited by the University of Maryland Baltimore County, to help start a Indian music department.
