Allan Lawson began studying martial arts in January, 1974 in the Shaolin style. By summer he was without a teacher and began practicing Bruce Lee's Jeet Kune Do until January, 1994 when he began studying Kung Fu San Soo and Escrima with Master Scott Leitch. He also took lessons in Yin Style Bagua from Ed Guerra for several months in 1999. He began teaching in July, 1999.
